Consequences of getting into Debt

Habakkuk 2:6,7
“Will not all of them taunt him with ridicule and scorn, saying, ” ‘Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion! How long must this go on?’  Will not your debtors suddenly arise? Will they not wake up and make you tremble? Then you will become their victim.

Proverbs 20:16
Take the garment of one who puts up security for a stranger; hold it in pledge if he does it for a wayward woman
Proverbs 22:7
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Reality check:
 You are caught in the never-ending debt carrousel (aka rat race)
 You suffer from Stress/anxiety… Health problems
 One problem leads into another
 Experience feeligs of insecurity
 You are forced to change priorities
 The choices are made for you

  1. This is very true and wise to follow. Sometimes is very difficult but is the best, we cannot spend what we don’t have.

I havent personally been in a situation like this, but I am currently working with some people that have many financial issues, mainly because of the debts. And it feels exactly as the proverbs advise.

God’s word is true, the best advices on everything!!

  2. Accountability and teachability are both great assets here. Being careful of what we dwell on is important too. So it’s most helpful to dwell on being content.

  3. Thanks for this blog. Is it possible to blog using a smaller type font, so one can read without much scrolling?

  4. Meli – it is great to be in a position to help others regarding financial matters. For some reason, schools and een parents fail to teach young people the basics of money management.

Laura – Thanks for your input!
I will try to find another nice template with smaller size font. I hadn’t realized it was somewhat big. Thanks for pointing it out =)
